Role Introduction
Our Client is looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in designing and developing 3D printers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, prototyping, testing, and refining mechanical components and systems that are integral to the 3D printing process.
The successful candidate will work closely with our cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure that our 3D printer is reliable, efficient, and capable of producing high-quality prints. The candidate must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.

Requirements
- • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for our 3D printer, including but not limited to: frames, motors, belts, pulleys, gears, extruders, and hot ends.
- • Conduct engineering analyses, such as finite element analysis (FEA), to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of components and systems.
- • Create detailed 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, and specifications for components and systems using Solid Works or similar software.
- Prototype, test, and refine components and systems to ensure they meet design requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical components and systems into the 3D printer.
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to other engineers and designers.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure components and systems can be produced at scale.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in 3D printing technology and mechanical engineering.
Nice To Have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in 3D printing or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks
- Experience with mechanical engineering analyses, such as FEA.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
