Role Introduction
As a hands-on Technical Lead, you will own Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) storefront architecture and development (~60–70% coding/architecture, ~30–40% leadership/mentoring). Drive modern Headless/PWA initiatives while ensuring rock-solid performance during peak retail seasons (Back-to-School, Holidays). Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Frontend, and Data teams to integrate SFCC with AWS ecosystem and backend systems.

Requirements
- Lead hands-on development of core SFCC features: checkout flows, product detail pages (PDPs), promotions, cart logic using SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture), server-side JavaScript (Controllers, Models, Scripts), ISML templates, and Demandware Script
- Architect and implement scalable Headless Commerce solutions using OCAPI / SCAPI to support PWA frontends and decoupled integrations
- Design and troubleshoot high-performance integrations with payment gateways (Adyen, PayPal), tax services, loyalty programs, Order Management Systems (OMS), and real-time inventory/SCM feeds
- Optimize backend performance, resolve bottlenecks, configure scheduled jobs, and ensure reliability under heavy traffic loads
- Mentor junior/mid-level developers, conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive end-to-end delivery
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) and maintain clear documentation for custom cartridges and integrations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to synchronize SFCC data models with AWS Redshift, CRM, and broader analytics ecosystem
Specifications
- 4–5+ years deep hands-on SFCC B2C development (SFRA required; Headless a major plus)
- Expert proficiency in server-side JavaScript (ES6+), ISML, pipelines, Business Manager configurations, metadata management, and Job Frameworks
- Proven track record implementing OCAPI / SCAPI for integrations and headless architectures
- Full E2E lifecycle ownership on 2–3+ major retail/e-commerce projects
- Strong experience with third-party integrations (payments, tax, OMS, loyalty) and data orchestration
- Performance tuning for high-traffic retail events
- Solid version control (Git) and CI/CD exposure
- Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer (preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months)Prior technical leadership: mentoring teams, code reviews, sprint delivery
- Modern frontend knowledge (React/Vue, PWA concepts) for headless support
- AWS familiarity (Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift data flows)
- Retail/fashion/apparel e-commerce background
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect certification (preferred)
