Role Introduction
Client is currently seeking a Technology Security Engineer to be responsible for architecting, deploying, integrating and managing the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and other services for internal teams and external customers. The Technology Security Engineer drives changes as necessary to support business operations and will collaborate and communicate with members of cross-functional teams. It is imperative that they enable the effective and efficient delivery of secure and high-quality networked products and services.

Requirements
- Acts as security engineering lead on infrastructure modernization projects
- Conducts research on infrastructure products, services, and standards in support of secure network design including task automation and platform best practices
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for infrastructure operations
- Monitors and report on performance and performance tuning
- Diagnoses and resolves both routine and complex infrastructure problems through effective root cause analysis
- Leads, schedules and/or performs infrastructure improvements, upgrades and repairs
- Recommends, develops, and implements action plans and solutions which solve customer problems and result in continuous improvements to the networking infrastructure
- Ensures technical artifacts are accurate, accessible, maintained and communicated
- Undertakes special projects or assignments as required
- May be required after hours on an emergency basis
Nice To Have
- Bachelor’s degree, technical diploma or equivalent experience in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in medium to large scale multi-site environment
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Expert level knowledge across a variety of Microsoft technologies including, but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory (including Group Policy, Managed Service Accounts, Group Managed Service Accounts, etc.), Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, System Center, SharePoint and PKI
- Expert level knowledge of TLS and cipher best practices
- Expert level knowledge of OS security, PAM, virtualization technologies and storage solutions; and the ability to translate this knowledge into secure, practical and user-friendly solutions is essential
- Experience with introducing network segmentation in a least privilege manner is essential
- Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and root cause analysis
- Experience automating system administration using PowerShell is a requirement
- Excellent customer-service, listening and communication skills with a client-service focus
